Week 9, Thing 23
I like this program, but you really need to take the time to learn about each of these activities. There are a lot of great tools and websites out there and things I think our patrons would use, but it's hard to learn about these things with all of the other work we have going on! I learned a lot though.
Week 9, Thing 22
We haven't had any patrons ask for downloadable audio books yet. Maybe as more people buy MP3 players the demand will increase. Project Gutenberg has some free audio downloads now, mostly classic stories and poetry.
Week 9, Thing 21
I searched yahoo podcasts to see what topics were out there. I found some podcasts on crocheting.
Week 8 - Thing 19
I explored One Sentence. People tell true stories in one sentence. Here are some of my favorites:
"Turning 49, she supposed, was preferable to being dead."
"I never spoke to him again because he was dating eight other women."
"I said no."

Week 8 - Thing 18
Here is my ZoHo document: http://writer.zoho.com/public/lhayward/Thing_18. I can see where some library patrons who don't have Microsoft Word might use this too.

Week 6 - 15 Library 2.0
There is so much in learning about the changes taking place in Libraries that today's additions will be challenging to many people. Some of the changes will make people happy and some will be very unhappy. Teaching computers is one way that the libraries have changed.
Week 6 - 14-Tags
Learning to use Tags is very useful if you know about them. It does help you to locate things easier.

Week 4
I don't look at the news that much. I guess if you are really into the news and certain subjects that being a member of RSS could help keeping you current with your interest since it will keep your preferences up to date for you.
Week 3
This bookworm was taken with a digital camera. I like taking pictures using a digital camera because it makes it so much easier than taking them to have them developed, scanned or on another disk to upload it on the computer.
